All of this is my exploration of Houdini so far. Most is all in Houdini and rendered with Redshift or Mantra. There are a few exceptions where I was playing with using Houdini and 3dsMax together.
The Gatorade bottle I modeled in 3dsmax and then did the condensation and liquid sims on the following images in Houdini. Houdini's strength is simulation and VFX. Much better than any of the plugins for Max. The 2 work quite well together!

Below are fur and grooming tests. I modeled my dogs in zbrush and then brought them into Houdini for grooming. Rendered with Mantra and then Redshift.

More fun with liquid. You can do regular liquid or particle liquid. Houdini is very flexible
